Zotero can be used in your browser window or by downloading a desktop app.
However, the desktop app works best and most instructions located here and on Zotero's web page are for the desktop app.
- In the new window download the correct version for your computer and work through the installation process.
- Once that is complete open the desktop app.
- In the desktop app click on "Edit" and from the drop down menu that appears click on "Preferences".
- In the new box that appears click on “Sync”. Then login. Then click OK.
- Once you return to the main Zotero window, click on the tiny green circular arrow in the right corner to sync the database to your online database.
